Passages for close analysis.

Seeing another thread on here, figured it might be useful to have a thread like this. Basically, just suggest passages that you think people should work on before the exam. If they're public domain, post the passages themselves here. If not, just contextualise the passages along with page numbers/the edition of the text you're getting it from.

Example: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone. Chapter 12 - The Mirror of Erised. Page 156 ("That third night he found his way more quickly than before...") to page 157 ("...it had been been quite a personal question"): Bloomsbury, Original British Children's Paperback Edition, 2000.

I'd say what edition this is specifically, but unfortunately those publishing detail pages have fallen out of my very old, very battered copy haha. But hopefully you get the gist!

And remember, it's combinations of three passages/poems. So if possible don't just pick passages at random, but in groups of three that you think are conducive to a challenging argued reading.

Blakes Poetry and Designs:
1. Infant Joy
2. Infant Sorrow
3. Auguries of Innocence

All are 3 poems that the VCAA have never picked.. hoping for the perfect combination of Infant Joy and Infant Sorrow on Friday!
