Let p be the probability that the Melbourne Tennis Club will buy its tennis balls from BBC n years after 2009 given that it buys them from BBC in 2009.
Find the smallest value of n such that p ≤ 0.45


Why is this question solved through trial and error with matrices like so

It says "n years after" not "n years in a row", so the club doesn't have to buy the balls form the BBC every year.
