for those who've gotten or know someone who got an equity scholarship or bursary from monash, did you get told that you'd gotten it before or after course offers came out? and was it though a phone call or email?

For equity scholarships that also depend on your ATAR (e.g. the Monash Scholarship for Excellence and Equity), they'll give you a phone call on the day that results come out in December, inviting you to a scholarship ceremony at Caulfield Racecourse later that day. The letter comes in the mail a few days later with instructions on how to accept the scholarship.

Not sure how the process is for other equity scholarships, sorry.

I'm on an Excellence and Equity Scholarship. I received a phone call a few hours after ATAR results were released, then a letter in the mail a few days after that.

When I got an Excellence Scholarship for Monash Engineering I got the phone call right after ATARs were out, so sometime around 8am From memory though some people got SMS's too.

I got my first merit/equity scholarship (Vice-Chancellors) on results day, and my second one (Excellence and Equity) about a month later.

For equity scholarships that also depend on your ATAR

Is that the ATAR your receive or does SEAS or middle ban subjects also play a role ?

I got an excellence and equity scholarship and did NOT receive a phone call. The letter came in the mail the next business day after ATARs were released. If you don't get a phone call, don't panic.
