Clearly-in and middle band

Hey guys,

Last year the clearly-in ATAR for Monash Arts/Law was 98, and for the 2nd round was 97.7. It's been going down for years now - In 2011 it was 98.4, and in 2012 it was 98.15.

I got 97.45. Middle band subjects bump me up to 98.10 and I also did a Monash extension subject this year (Australian History/Politics) for which I got a 91% average, so they might take that into account.

With 23% of offers below the clearly-in ATAR, what are my chances of getting in in 1st round offers, and then, 2nd round offers, considering my middle band ATAR (English 2 points, Literature and Revolutions 1 point each) and my extension subject?

Thanks  :)

Your atar is less than 1.0 off what the clearly in score is, so you are still probably very competitive to get in. Second round offers occur if there are still places remaining, so there may not always be a second round. You can look up the course on course search and it will tell you what percentage of those accepted were under the clearly in score.
