Hi all!
I'm a Year 10 trying out for JMSS for Year 11 entry in 2023. Are there are tips and advice on how to get in? Anything special to practice for, common topics, interview questions? I didn't try out in 2021 so I have no idea how the tests are formatted and what content comes up or how it differs for Year 11 entry. Thanks
as someone who did the exam in 2021, my best tip would be to just stay level-headed and don't try to over-cram work at the last minute. Having a methodical way to study also helps a lot imho. The test, based off my experience for 2021 y10, was with the science reasoning exam (rly like ICAS science), and then the maths and numerical reasoning papers, and we didn't have essays due to the exam being online. However, instead, we had our essay during our interview rounds. That being said, i'm not entirely sure how it works for year 11 entry, but i assume its roughly the same. Hope this helped
