Hi

I just had my first language analysis sac and I don't think I did too well.  :'( :'( :'(
If I want a study score of around 35 for english, what do my sac scores have to roughly be?
2014: VCE completed
2015-2017: BSc at Melb Uni

I am not entirely sure but an average of a low A- ?
Do keep in mind that the exam is basically weighted ~50% (around there I think) of the subject!

Even if you got an E this time,  I assure you there is still hope; you've got a lot of chances to boost it back up.

(Random fact: I got my one and only E during VCE for context one time then skyrocketed to an A+ for the next context piece with no preparation,  English just happens to be one of those subjects that can fluctuate with grades a lot in my opinion. Or maybe it's just me.   :) )

Just don't lose hope and keep trying!

Yes I did pretty okay!

The E did not pull my grade down too much for unit 3 too because luckily my other sacs saved me.

I didn't do English but a friend of mine averaged ~B's and ended up with a SS of 41...I guess she smashed the exam? But that was during my year, its difficult to give an approximation because your SS really depends on the strength of the competition that year as well as the strength of your cohort. I agree with serenaaa.s though, at least low A's should be enough for a SS of 35. Use this time to figure out what you did wrong and keep working at it to turn your grade into an A/A+. And don't forget, not meeting your own expectations for one SAC shouldn't decrease your self-confidence, instead use it as a means of motivation to redeem yourself in the upcoming SAC. Good luck!
