Absolutely! (As a matter of fact, the only tutor I had was for chemistry, my lowest raw score. My tutor was great, I'm just poor at chemistry :P )

I received a scaled score of 43.6 last year and has no tutor. Not an ATAR, but proves high scores are possible without tutors.
Graduated with Bachelor of Laws (Honours) / Bachelor of Arts from Monash University in June 2020.

Completing Practical Legal Training (Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice)

Offering 2021 Tutoring in VCE Legal Studies (Awarded as Bialik College's top Legal Studies Student in 2014).

Offered via Zoom or in person across Melbourne.  Message me to discuss. Very limited places available.

Hahahahaha yeah no. I had a tutor for Spesh. But the sessions were more just chats about how great maths is, once every month or so, and to clarify a few nitty gritty things.
ATAR: 99.95
Specialist 50 | Methods 50 | Physics 50 | Further 49 | Literature 48 | Music Style/Composition 41

2014 - 2016: Bachelor of Science (Chancellor's Scholars' Program) at The University of Melbourne

I will be tutoring in Melbourne this year. Methods, Specialist, and Physics. PM me if you are interested :)

I scored 47 in Biology, and 46 in Further Maths, without tutors. I know many people who scored lower than that (I mean in the 30s) who had regular tutoring. There is no direct correlation between having a tutor and succeeding.

really, a tutors their to help you in areas you are struggling, but then again, why are teachers there? use your teacher, ask plenty of questions. To an extent a tutor can act like a motivator, but if you have the right motivation in mind, no one can stop you.

Except VCAA   ;D  :P
