I find I finish too quickly and make many  silly mistakes

Would you guys advise finishing as quick as possible and then checking over answers or checking answers as you go?

Pacing yourself is good. Do them properly the first time around.

Not really, but I'm learning from my mistakes! I've also developed a detestation for company (*cough* TSSM *cough*) papers :')
If you don't mind me asking, what kind of marks are you getting? Remember an A+ is approximately 86% and above. :)

umm I getting around 70s which I am not happy with as I am aiming for a high score. But most of the marks I loose is stupid mistakes and not reading the question properly. What about you? Doing much better I think :)

so considering there is only 15 minutes reading time for the 2.5 hr exam...
would you suggest reading multiple choice first OR the short answer section first?
because...15 minutes..i cant read an entire 2.5 exam paper without really processing things properly...

Well done! There's still heaps of time for improvement, but you'll undoubtedly perform well on the actual exam :)
I'm averaging around 86%...which is okay, but I know that I can perform better :)

I did my second 3+4 exam the other day (TSSM) and finished 30 mins early because I now follow this technique that was suggested by Douchy in his podcasts (highly recommend listening to the exam prep one!!). Now I am reading through the short answer first, deciding which questions are easy and which are hard, and then doing the first couple of multiple choice questions all during reading time. Then I do about 15 multiple choice questions, stop, and go and complete all the short answer questions. I then return to the rest of the multiple choice questions.   :)

That's a very set out, and a good way of tackling the biology exam. Thanks for that!
