Aiming for 40+, what sort of marks do I need?

We've completed our first two SACs (text response and oral). I received a 27/30 for my text response, a mark I was pleasantly surprised by, and was told I was ranked second in the year level. We haven't yet got our oral marks back, but I'm fairly confident I did well (but so is everybody else).
I guess my question is, what sort of marks overall should I be aiming for this year to get a study score of 40+? I know that ranking matters too, but just as an estimate? Thanks!

it's hard to say! in my opinion, english is very subjective, so you never know. but generally, you probably want A+s in every SAC (maybe you can get an A in one or two) and do relatively well in the exam (above 50/60 for 45+ i think...)

if your end of year GA's read A+ A+ A+ then you get a 38 or 39 minimum (if they are barely A+) so assuming you comfortable got a few A+ you should 40+

Right, got it. So, for a 35, would I be looking at getting at least an A in everything, do you think?

if you get straight A's on the end of year assesment you would probably get around 35 so yeah aim for A's but if you get less than that just make sure you smash the next few sacs !
