2015 Approach

Congrats to class of 2014 and to anyone else who did a 3/4 this year!!!
Results yesterday were less than appealing, but to a large extent what I expected for my two 3/4's.
So by my own standards (also due to the fact I have smart friends/family) I stuffed up this year, but it's over now and I am strangely motivated to do well next year.
My subjects will be Chemistry, Methods, Literature, Theatre, and English.
Given my aim is a 98+ ATAR, is it better for me to go all out in my strongest subjects (English, Theatre) possibly discarding some weaker ones, or spread the workload across all 5. My feeling is I could counter some potentially disastrous results in Chem and Methods by completely acing English and Theatre.
But is this safer than putting more emphasis on my weaker subjects? Thoughts would be greatly appreciated :) thank you

Hey MrBeefSteven,
I was also crushed by my results yesterday but it was a major wake up call for me :) This year, that's exactly what I did, focused on my stronger subjects and I ended up not doing very well. Everyone is different but now I want to take a balanced approach for next year. Having said that, that doesn't mean I'll focus on my weaker and stronger subjects equally - instead I'll try improve in my weaker subjects as well :)

Best of luck, and it's great that you're motivated- just remember that this year's results won't affect you too much next year if you do really well next year :)
