What should I do before arriving at UniMelb?

I've got my offer, CoE, Visa, etc.(I'm an international student)

Now I'm a bit confused because I don't know what I should do now. I'm going to Melbourne on 16th, February. Should I do the online enrollment before or after this date? Should I choose my subjects before or after Academic Day? Is it necessary to do International Student Briefing?

The major round of class registration opens on 2nd of Feb, but there is a smaller round held later to account for people who come on the second academic advice day, like you. I guess if you want to be cautious you could do your enrollment now so you are ready for the major round of class registration, but if there's anything you are unsure about it might be best to leave it.

I know international students need to confirm their physical attendance at the University, I'm not too sure if this happens at the International Students Briefing (probably not), but they might give information so it's probably best to go.

The International Student Briefing looks like something you do online http://services.unimelb.edu.au/international/student-briefing and from looking at it I think it's definitely something you should do if you're new to Melbourne.

Speaking from experience - you're much better off waiting until the second round if you're not super worried about your timetable. I logged on with virtually no lag and got a perfect timetable in second semester. I got a 'okay' timetable after the first registration day, then perfected it on the second day.

Edit: Another thing, it's worth stressing that it's important to just have fun in your last summer before uni. There's no point in stressing yourself too much with uni work - they'll be plenty of time to procrastinate here when the time comes.
