Floor-holding strategies?

Just wanting to know some strategies for getting the floor?
And I also need some strategies for giving up the floor.

-Overlaps: attempt to take the floor but not succeeding
-Interruption: Taking the floor

Giving up the floor
-Intonation

Turn taking is common for both.

Fillers/voiced pauses/voiced hesitations
Repetitions
Rising intonation
Faster tempo
Louder speech
