Im not doing any maths in vce, instead im doing physics. Will this disadvantage me, in terms of getting a university placement? Is physics considered a math at university level. Im sorry if this makes no sense...Thanks 8)

Physics has maths in it but it's considered a science subject. You shouldn't be thinking that physics can be a substitute for a maths subject just because it has maths in it.

It depends on what you want to study in university. If I had to choose between methods or physics for example, I'd choose methods without a doubt  :P

If you plan on taking physics to university level, you HAVE to be doing maths. No "but"s or "what if"s, you have to have a working understanding of mathematics to do physics after high school. So, not doing maths but continuing physics later on is a disadvantage. :P

As for getting a university placement, as Adequace says, it depends entirely on what you want to do. If you plan on going onto a field in Commerce, it will disadvantage you. If you plan on doing science or engineering, it limits (or removes all in the case of eng) your choices in universities. If you plan on doing anything else, though, I think you'll be alright (there are a few random degrees that say "requires VCE maths", but I forget what they are.)

No, physics is considered a science, and won't be a suitable replacement for pre-reqs that require, say 'done VCE Methods'
