Hi everyone, I recently sat my first biology sac on osmosis and ended up with an unfortunate 70%, I stuffed up some really easy concepts and want to know how this affects my chances at getting a 40 study score?

From memory there are 10 SACs for Bio, worth 40% of the study score - this SAC is worth about 3% of your SS.  Its effect is minimal - definitely not killing your chance of a 40!  The most important thing is that you learn from your mistakes, so that in future SACs and the exam you don't lose marks the same way.  If you can achieve this, then getting a bad first SAC score is almost good - better than messing up the exam.

You can still get a 50. Just study hard and don't spend too many late nights with my mum, dude. She's a busy woman.

There were people last year that always had higher sac scores than me (by 1 or 2 marks) but they bombed out on the exam. My SAC marks were alright but I did way better on the exam so I ended up with the higher study score. Not bragging just saying that what you get on your SAC isn't that important. It's the exam that matters 😃
