u used "yea" 4 times LOL. It's strange how ur GP said it only helps infants/ur too old. Since when are u too old to have the effects of vitamins/nutrients (whatever its called) in food?

It's like vitamin supplements... some people need them, most do not.

i hav a friend, she's got excellent memory that she was able to memorise my timetable(at the start of this year), whereas i couldn't remember it. i think she consumes fish oil coz saw it on her dining table when i visited her house.

however. she failed accounting twice, got Cs and Ds for methods, and is on the borderline of failing economics due to her lack of interest in VCE

my point being that fish oil (purhaps) could boost your memory, but it is important to ultilize the benefit of an improved memory (it may or may not happen) and not relying too much on physical aspects since it is really the effort you put into study that determines your score

Fish oil's also good for blood flow :)
I saw a documentary about a guy who ate only fish for like a week (or a long time) and eventually when he pricked himself he kept bleeding for ages before the blood clotted.
Probably good if you think you're gonna have a heart attack or if you're emo but bad if you want to get shot or blown up.

Hmm maybe the blood flow thingy increases memory?

I don't know... never saw an improvement when I took fish oil capsules. I was super motivated at the start of the year and wanted to condition myself to perform at my best mental ability but.. kinda gave up a month into it. :)

it does have benefits, although if you are healthy already then you may not feel the difference. it is a natural blood thinner if you take heaps of them a day. i started fish oil 2 months ago by mum did too and she's noticed a decrease in inflammation in her back and yes i reckon it does improve mental clarity although there is no way to prove this.... i buy it from this site   http://xtend-life.com/product/Omega_3_DHA_Fish_Oil.aspx, yeah it has more info there and other places...

I distinctly remember this quote from some wise-crack whose name escapes me. The dialogue goes like this:

A: "Is it true that you are so smart because you eat a lot of fish?"
Wise-guy: "You sound like you need to eat a whole whale."
