Harder than previous years?
« on: October 30, 2015, 12:18:12 am »
Hi guys,
So I know people probably say this every year, but did you guys find this years exam harder than the 2013 and 2014 ones? - Particularly Section B (short answer).
And if anyone's interested Connect Education have already uploaded the possible answers to this years exam if anyone wanted to have a look at it!

And just out of curiosity, what marks do you think you would've needed in order to get a 40?
- Like, for GA1, 2 and the Exam??

Thanks all!!!

Not sure about the marks needed for a 40, but I would say in terms of difficulty I think that it was easier than previous years even though i screwed up a few questions. However, this is only my opinion since others I have spoke to have said they thought it was harder.
I reckon the top order (40s scores) will be a lot more competitive this year though.

I DEFINITELY think it was harder than previous years. Speaking to my teacher, who marks the exams, she said there will be a lot of debate about the appropriate answers, and that WAY too much of section B was given to unit 4, stress and mental health in particular. Section C was just ridiculous. They gave hardly any opportunity to speak about extraneous variables, sampling, experimental design etc because there was no goddamn information given about it! It'll be interesting to see the examination report though.
