Methods [45], Specialist [46] and Chemistry [46] Tutoring 2017

Hey everyone!

I'm offering private and group tutoring for Maths Methods, Specialist Maths, and Chemistry, for all units, 1/2 and 3/4.

I'm an experience tutor that graduated VCE in 2016 as with duxes for all subjects and received an ATAR of 98.4. My study scores (scaled) were:

Specialist: 46
Methods: 45
Chemistry: 46
Algorithmics: 45

I also received a raw 42 in English, but would prefer to limit my tutoring in this area to proof reading and general advice.

I know now that these results would have been unachievable if not for all the help I was lucky enough to receive. VCE is most importantly a test of your preparedness – and making sure you are receiving the teaching you deserve is a big part of this. That’s why I’m keen to help you out!

I understand the stresses of VCE – the massive workloads and the teachers who seem inaccessible at times. This is especially true of the maths and sciences, where subjects are often taught in a way that leaves many behind! My belief is that individual teaching is the solution, where each individual is treated as such, with different lessons, practice and memorisation techniques all key to developing a meaningful understanding.

I aim teach you understanding, not memorization. Looking at concepts from another perspective is key to mastering your subjects, and is something I am well versed at explaining in my tutoring.

Cost

$30 per hour for private tutoring
$20 per person per hour for group tutoring.

Availability

Throughout the summer holiday period I'm able to make accommodating arrangements. Any time of day from 12PM to 9PM should be fine.

As we move into the 2017 school year, I will be able to offer my services across weekday afternoons and weekends.

Location

I am based in the inner Western Suburbs, and can easily access the areas of Williamstown, Altona and Newport. My lessons can also be received at most libraries in the city, particularly the State Library.
