Bachelor of Business or Bachelor of Commerce?

i'm currently in year 12 and trying to decide which degree out of business or commerce at monash would be better for future use?
i originally was hoping to double degree bachelor of business & bachelor of banking and finance but i've been told by many i should just do commerce instead?

can someone explain the differences and similarities to me? if i knew commerce was a 'better' option i would done methods too then

What's the difference between business and commerce? (from Monash's website)

As a very general rule, a Bachelor of Business has a stronger focus on people-based topics like marketing, management, business law, and HR. You’ll develop a genuine insight into how organisations work, and how to run your own business.

Commerce is more analytical, with a bigger emphasis on mathematical topics like business analytics, econometrics and behavioural science.

Both courses offer industry placements, double degrees, a strong foundation in core business units and an excellent mix of majors to choose from, but they have different combinations of double degree options and majors. There’s also a difference in the ATAR and maths prerequisites for both courses.

I probably go with bachelor of commerce. Both degrees are connected with each other tho.

As Jerry said, they have slightly different focuses. Depending on what you find interesting, one may suit you much better than the other. I wouldn’t necessarily make an assumption that commerce is a “better” option based on hearsay alone.
