Introduction for mod A metropolis and 1984 essay

For my first sentence for Metropolis and 1984 essay, should I begin with a more contextual sentence by mentioning how texts are a result of an authors personal contexts, then have my second sentence as more thesis like by having mentioning the suppression of humanity as a result of controlling regimes? Or should I just start with a thesis of what I'm discussing throughout the essay ?

Hey Nia! I think the first sentence on contexts shaping representations would work really well; it links to the module and makes your essay more analytical/abstract right off the bat. Nice way to differentiate from an AoS essay
