Hello,
So I've done 1/2 Studio Arts in year 11 and now comes year 12, and i need theme ideas, im supposed to take photos over the holidays but i am completely blank of what i want to do????
My teacher suggested 'water' i tried to take some photos but became frustrated and didn't like what was turning out after 50 photos.
I know i need to choose something that im passionate and dedicated about to be motivated throughout the year but i really need some help  :'( :'(
i really want to work on something unique. Thank you!
(also if it helps i usually like fashion, makeup, nature, sunsets, people)

Hey! Guess I'm a little late to help you since school's on the way (or has started).

I personally have a very clear idea of my theme and even my final pieces. In fact, I chose Studio Arts as a subject after subject selections at my school because I really wanted to make a certain piece. But I know a lot of people who have no idea, so you're not alone. I'd rather not specify my own theme, out of paranoia that someone could do something similar by seeing this thread and ruin my chances at Top Arts.

I've heard it's good to combine several things together. So maybe you could combine your interests that you listed into some cohesive folio. In terms of fashion, do you also do textiles or embroidery? You could just choose fashion and figure out what you want to focus in later. As someone who's done 3/4s, there's time. You have to work hard, but not everything always works out immediately.

Good luck to you!

Imma have to reiterate what the above poster said. I'm pretty clear on what my theme is, I'm big into comedy, so I chose 'black comedy' as my theme. Do something your passionate about and that you know will keep your attention and keep you inspired, doesn't matter if it's weird or not. I think fashion is a totally legit theme, or if you want something you can play with a bit more, maybe look into aestheticism as an art movement.
