I unfortunately haven't found anything on the average or minimum scores, but hopefully someone here will have something more for you.

I'd just like to comment that Optometry at Melbourne is graduate-entry only. This means that if you wish to enter Optometry, it won't be in directly after VCE. Rather you'd have to undertake a different degree, and satisfy the subject requirements. It's to my understanding that at Melbourne, you can only satisfy the prerequisites with a Bachelor of Biomedicine or a Bachelor of Science, of which the clearly in ATARs were 98.30 and 85.00 respectively (although this can be bypassed if you qualify for Access Melbourne, which have ATARs of 95.00 and 78.00 respectively).
