Potential meetup at Monash (Clayton)'s Open Day!

I'll be there the whole day (9:30-4) on the first floor of the "med building" 27 Rainforest Walk in a highly unsubtle blue hoodie with a big M on the back of it and probably wearing a name tag (which will match my username cause I'm very uncreative)... not sure if I'll be allowed to leave the building for long though so if any of you pop by please say hi!

This was the moment that stood out for me today:

From Monash Open Day in the med dep involving me and a curry mum and her yr9 (or so) son:
Me: So, why do you want to do med?
Yr9: Well, I'm not sure if I even want to do med, I'm also thinking about engineering
His Mum: No, tell him about how you want to study medicine? To become a doctor!
*Yr9 slowly backs away as his mum gives him a very sharp look*

Yeah we got warned about that 
I remember attending a course day after ATAR's came out and there were several parents who were basically interrogating the MBBS representative about what happens at the interviews etc, whilst the students themselves had left to get free ice-cream XP
Also apparently there are always a few year 12s who come in all excited for med but haven't done the UMAT or a prereq....
