Hi all,
I enrolled for Allied Health as a Vet subject in Box hill tafe this year, and now i am not sure if it is a good idea. Will it minimize or maximize my chances if wanting to get into med. I am really hoping for an atar of 99.0. Please tell me more on why you think this is a good or bad idea.
Thanks

in terms of atar, unless you tell us what subjs you're doing, what you're expecting, your strengths etc then we won't know
in terms of gaining entry, the only way i can see it could impact you is if you talk about it in the interview ,and how it demonstrates you're interested in the body etc, so i guess its a plus if it isn't at the expense of possibly doing aonther subject, and doing well in it.
ATAR: 99.90 (2011)
Currently studying Medicine at Monash

Currently in-taking students for 2015 in Mathematical Methods, Chemistry, and English in the SE suburbs (Glen Waverley area)

I will probably be doing for 2013 : English, Spec, Chem, Religion and either the Vet Subject or Further Maths. I am currently doing Methods. Only 2 maths subjects count towards the top 4, so do you think it would be more beneficial in doing a Vet subject (increment- 10% of top 4) or further as a back up maths subject.

perosnally I would see how you do in methods first. You don't relaly need Further maths 1/2 to do 3/4, so you can always drop VET and do further if you'd like right?
