Hi, I am in Grade 10 and missed 6 weeks of school as I was travelling overseas. I am moving school because my old school didn't have Meths Methods Unit 1 and 2 course and the new school does. I was wondering if you could have catching up time if you moved school halfway through the year. Please answer ASAP. Thanks.

I moved here from here from Singapore in the middle of Year 11, and have to catch up every single subject as they were drastically different from what I've done in Singapore, despite some overlap. So that's probably the most dramatic change in school environment you can get :P

It was really rough at first. Just put in the extra initiative and catch up, discuss with the teacher what the subjects expect, and keep working on patching up the gap, and you'll be back in the game in no time. If I can do it, so can you ;)

Thanks for your reply, so you did not have time to catch up?

I manage to catch up with everything, just that the first few months was rough. I stuck with it and just focused on figuring out what I'm missing and patching up my knowledge gap, and before I know it, I'm back in the game ;D

I remember the most difficult was English and Systems Engineering. The requirements for English was completely different, and System Engineering was completely new to me.
