Hey, im in year 10 and im choosing my VCE Subjects. I want to know if PE is difficult in terms of the participation in activities. Because early this year i got sick for 4 months and ever since i've struggled to get the motivation to get back into exercise (before i got sick i played soccer heaps.) Now im pretty unfit and im scared that PE will have challenging practical activities that i wont be fit enough to do. But it's not just my fitness but the fact i have anxiety around not being able to be as good and fit as all the sporty kids that will be in my class. i haven't done PE since year 9 and even though i was fit enough to run for a 90 minute game of soccer with a team that could only get 9 on the pitch and never had a full squad of 11 or subs, whenever we did like fitness testing or streneous activity during PE class at school i was always out of breath in the first 10 seconds. I assume i was anxious (Despite not exactly feeling typically anxious)
So yeah anyway last year in PE we looked at some stuff that i think might be included in VCE Pe, like we learnt about energy systems and all that stuff and then we had a written exam on it and i got 97% on that, and this year i decided to do VCE Health and Human Development (Which i assume has some similar topic areas) and even though im in year 10 i've been doing really well in it, better than most people in the class, i always get work done, i get good SAC results, my most recent SAC i got 94%, i would've gotten 100% if i decided to study as hard as everyone else, i usually just briefly revise before a SAC and i do really well. so i think the theoretical stuff in PE i will pick up somewhat easily? It's just that the actual physical activity im worried about. So its either i do VCE PE or do VCE History.
Also i dont know what i want to do after school or anything so choosing out of these 2 subjects is hard
