Questions about breadth BLAW10001 / CRIM10001

I am currently taking both BLAW10001 (Principles of Business law.)  well as CRIM10001(From Graffiti to Terrorism) this semester.

I would like to ask the following questions to anyone who has taken either of the subjects in 2016

BLAW10001
1. Are BLAW10001 lectures recorded?
2. Are the workshops really optional even though the study plans say "The workshops are held in weeks 3, 8 and 12. You are to attend the workshop you register into, in each of those three weeks." (https://handbook.unimelb.edu.au/view/2017/BLAW10001 says that it is optional)

CRIM10001
1. Are CRIM10001 lectures recorded?
2. Would you recommend skipping a CRIM10001 lecture and watching it on lectopia if it was recorded.

I've only done BLAW10001 (in Semester 2, 2016) so I can only answer questions relating to that.

Are lectures recorded? Nope, so attend.
Are workshops optional? Yes. In workshops the tutor will answer questions relating to the practice test that would be released via the LMS the week before. That's about all that happens. If you have a question or wish to listen to other students' questions then feel free to attend

There will also be consultation hours where you can talk to another tutor about questions you may have, or you can otherwise email him/her.

P.S. The tutors aren't actually tutors insofar that they're lawyers who do this as a side gig.
