Sweet vs. Bitter chocolate

So, I bought some 99% cacao Lindt chocolate (which is bitter af, trust me ahaha) today and I absolutely love it, however some of my friends don't like it. I really want to see if sweet or bitter chocolate is the best.
(This is no debate about milk/dark/white chocolate btw :P )

Bitter is the best (;

Edit: I wrote cocoa instead of cacao :P

The 99% blend has 1.0 gram of sugar in the 50g block. Therefore, it is sweetened ;)

Typically =/= always.

I like both but I guess I prefer bitter. Dark chocolate generally boasts a lot of health benefits, which gives me all the more reason to eat it. ::)

I'd love to try 99%, I have 85% at home.

Bitter. Better suits my personality.
Like coffee? ;D

I was so tempted to buy 85% and 90% as well today, but I bought 6 flavoured blocks as well (they had a 3 for 10 deal at the cafe in Southbank- can't help it :P )

I'm not sure you can just modify definitions like that lol.

@Coffee - yep. Love a good black coffee. Going to have one when I get home.

i tried 90% cacao and literally gagged, I can't even imagine 99%!! Your taste buds must be hella strong i'm impressed!
But nah, team sweet. I just don't understand the appeal of bitter foods in general - probs why I can't stomach coffee unless it is loaded with milk and sugar  :-[
