I'm studying Augustus right now and Julius's influence on him. What was the significance of Augustus's inheritance of Caesar's veterans and wealth in his attaining power?

Hi, you could say this was significant as it gave Augustus an established army that had been loyal to Caesar and as he was Caesar's closet relative that they also would have been loyal to him. The wealth would have been important for providing for the army to maintain loyalty and also for promoting Augustus's political as Roman politicians were self-funded. Even just the relation to Caesar would have been quite power as Caesar had been an influential figure amongst the people. With all this it would have been quite easy for Augustus to obtain power.
Hope this helps!  :D
