Afternoon ATAR Notes community. So this coming week I have four exams remaining for my trials (CSSA) all in succession from Monday-Thursday (2 Unit religion, Physics, PDH/PE and Biology. At the current moment my ranks are semi- good....like they aren't terrible but certainly not where I want to be. My school is from the Western region, and whilst as of recent, not renowned for amazing academic ability, my cohort is ridiculously strong, and I mean very strong. I am not going to toot the schools horn, but our cohort could compete with some top schools, like we have around 15-20 students who could if effort applied, 90 ATAR would be a breeze. Now this leads me to my question, all my notes have been completed but I am having trouble with retention, and I am not entirely sure what I should be doing today, this weekend/night before exams to smash them. Like i mentioned, some really good marks could lift my rank very high and I would love some tips/specific tips for each subject. These exams are integral for my HSC, and are the last assessments that I need to kill to boost my ranking.

Thanks for everyones input (hopefully) and good luck with your own study.

I always think the strongest plan before exams is to be able to identify your weaknesses and work on them. Hypothetically, if you know the census data for SOR really well and you'll likely get a 9/10 for MC, but you're not crash hot on Christianity and might only get half marks - then there's no point continuing to work on the census data to gain that extra mark, when you could be working on pulling up your Christianity effort for greater mark gain. In saying this, it can be very good for your mentality to study something you know really well for a little bit just as a reminder that you do know stuff well! So with each subject - identify where you would be stumped to confidently ace full marks. If this isn't the path you want to take - have a look at some past papers and without just doing the entire paper, have a look at which make you immediately uneasy and which look to be a breeze. See if you can identify patterns and tackle them, or else, zoom in on the ones that make you uneasy and see what you can do to turn that into an opportunity to excel confidently.
