Hi guys so I am interested in some what of a respectable and decent corporate career. I don't know exactly what im after but along the lines of Corporate Law, Big 4 accounting, something in the finance sector. The problem here is my subjects I took in year 12 don't really reflect this. I didn't take any maths regrettably same for year 11 VCE so the "just bridge at Melbourne" option isn't open to me. I average exclusively 80s and 90s in all my subjects with the exception of 70s in English and the one media score, ATAR wise Im not sure where this puts me so I want to spread out my options for best and worse case scenario.
I made this list here but im not sure on it.
1. Monash Law (Honours)
I am considering removing this because Monash is two hours away for me and I cant pair it with any business or commerce degree because I don't meet the Maths Methods requirement.
2. Science Law Pathway or Arts Monash
I don't really want to do this encase I don't meet the 60% standard somehow and am stuck in subject similar to what I do now and do not currently enjoy.
3. Economics and Finance Applied RMIT
this course is my favorite and I prefer it over the other two by a long shot due to it's location, the live trading and the one year paid work experience. (I am strongly considering removing the other two and placing this first)
4.Economics Finance RMIT
I like this same reasons as previous however I don't like the lack of the one year placement. However I consider this not all bad because it means I could move to a master of finance at Melbourne and finish younger with the prestige potentially.
5. Deakin Commerce Law
Im not really a fan of Geelong area, however I believe this has a strong focus on commercial law units and pairing with commerce surely sets me up well. (not really a fan of this one)
6. Commerce Deakin
would cry
7. Commerce/ Law at ACU
like the location however it's ranking is off putting.
8. Finance and accounting at ACU
9. Buisness Diploma RMIT
10. Commerce Diploma ACU
The reason why there is ten courses here is because the travel for Monash is super duper off putting and im considering removing them very strongly.
Just looking for second opinons and im not trying to offend anyone who goes to Deaking ACU it's just my prefences Deakin is great but it's location I don't like and the city campus is higher or the same as the RMIT and that just wouldn't make sense.
I am also considering accounting at RMIT and Professional Accounting but I don't like how it is super specific and boxs me into accounting for my entire life.
