Hi guys
Could someone pls explain how the block approach works for language analysis with an example because I find it very confusing and don't know how u can compare pieces through this approach.Keeping in mind that I am used to writing comparative language analysis via the weave/integrated method where I focus on the arguments.
Just remember that comparative analysis is not the main focus. There is no section of the criteria, which explicitly indicates that it is necessary.
If you have two articles a block approach may be:
P1- Article 1
P2- Article 1
P3- Linking/comparative from the previous article, Article 2
P4- Linking/comparative from the previous article, Article 2
You are basically focusing on the one article for the bulk of the paragraph. Of course you can still include subtle comparisons between the articles, but it is not the focus of the task.
