If anyone has experience with UMEP, Extended Investigation or Classical Studies, please share! (Whether it's praise or criticism.)

My particular predicament:

I'm currently a year 11 student studying 3/4 philosophy, 1/2 english, math methods, chemistry, psychology and media.

I'm not planning on studying 3/4 media. Considering this, I'm not entirely sure what my fifth VCE subject should be in year 12.

I was considering undertaking a uni subject, specifically, philosophy. I'm studying 3/4 right now and it's by far my favourite subject. (And best subject for that matter.) I'm fairly certain I should be able to meet the requirements for UMEP but I'm concerned that studying a university subject will impact my VCE subjects. (Travelling, difficulty of work, etc.)

I'm also considering Extended Investigation through DECV. It seems rather interesting and especially different from the other VCE studies. However it also appears to be something that could become boring considering you don't vary or stray much from your topic. (I'm not an expert however so feel free to correct me.) And I'm not particularly gifted in terms of oral presentations...   :-\

Lastly I was considering Classical Studies through DECV. The design seems similar to philosophy and the topics interest me somewhat. History has never been my forte though and I'm worried I might lose interest because of that. I don't mind reading a fair amount of texts but it seems like you need to be an especially adept english student to do well. I'm not sure if I meet that criteria.

Any advice or opinions is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
