TSFX or Melbourne Uni Summer School?

Hey guys,

well it really depends on what you're looking for. i'm kld too... horray for kwongers!
i went to melb uni summer school at the start of this year and it was flipping sweet, they have a few big lectures, but they're mainly tutes (6 -12) people. it gives you an insight into the topics you cover over the year. for me it boosted my confidence a lot when we started them in class. they had an awesome extra curricular program, bands, beach, workshops...

i haven't been to TSFX programs, so i can't say much about that. my bro went to midterms last yeah though. it seemed pretty intense. i think it's more for hard core study it up ppl.

Well it looks like the thread got revived again.

I went to the Melbourne Uni Summer School this year and even though it was more of a social thing, it was pretty useful. I mean, I didn't get everything straight away and most things I'd forgotten, but it's become easier and quicker for me to learn the concepts back at school because I already had a vague idea compared to other students. Also the revision booklets they give out can be pretty handy depending on the subject and I find myself looking at some of them still. It only runs for two weeks and it is during the holidays so it's not like you want to kill yourself with super intense studying so early which is why it's also good for the social aspect.

I'm contemplating doing it again this year, but it costs $160 this time round and I don't think it's worth it. Maybe. We'll see. Unless you're a KLD and the Uni partially pays some of it.
