If it is then why are professional coaching industries still coaching students with the traditional format?
I am not saying that this is false information but if this was true then shouldnt the professional coaching colleges know about this too??
Moreover, just 1 writing piece will not make things difficult at all as the 15 minute time limit seperates the fast and well-structured essays from the slow and poor essays.
I’m assuming that they’re changing it to 30 minutes now because they’re looking for quality work. The examiners want to see the best quality you can provide, and increasing the time given will allow the slow, yet talented writers to shine. Not that swift writers don’t have a chance though; they just have more time to think about their phrasing and structuring.
The information is most likely true because it is on the offical Selective Schools page on the Victorian education website. I’m trying out this year for Year Nine as well. Fingers crossed I’ll get in, but if I don’t, I’m just grateful that I’ve had the experience.
