Can someone please reword it the form 'parallel to ___-axis' or 'from the ___-axis' ?

i am pretty sure that means "parallel to the y-axis" or "from the x-axis" as if you are moving along the y-axis you are moving in the y-axis direction.

I HATE TRANSOFRMATIONS haha

1/2 parallel to the yaxis
1/2 from the yaxis
