subject selection help! pls and thank u.

Hi!
I'm currently in year 11 and I am indecisive with my subject selection for next year.

Basically I've applied for ext 2 eng next year and I need help deciding on what back up subject I should choose (head of secondary wants us to have a back up subject in case we #dropthesubject)

Should I:
Keep Society + Culture
or
Drop Society + Culture
and pick up
Extension History

The plan is to pick one of these subjects up, try out all of my subjects for half a term or so and either:
DROP MY EXTRA SUBJECT BECAUSE I HAVE HOPE IN MY SKILLS IN EXT 2 ENG
or
(if I choose society and culture)
DROP ALL MY EXT ENGLISH UNITS BECAUSE I OVERESTIMATED MY ABILITIES

(if I choose ext history)
DROP JUST EXT 2 ENG BUT STILL DO EXT 1 ENG

or alternatively (and probs least likely) keep all the subjects I choose...

For context, my other subjects are:
Adv Maths
Adv Eng
Visual Arts
Modern History

Both ect and s&c are a lot of work, i think you should pick the subject where you have a chance to pick an area you are actually interested in are would be keen to research bc it will make it seem like less work. idk much about ext but i know there is a lot of freedom with s&c
