- Chat to the school counsellor/online counsellor
- See if you can change classes (idk if you have more than 1 English class)
- Do the work, if you need feedback for like essays or something chat to another English teacher (I personally go to my English teacher from Year 7 & 8 and the head of English to correct essays from me and they are both more than happy to do it)
- also bear in mind complaining and having such a negative mindset is not going to help you in any way and if you are stuck in that mindset about this teacher you won't change or be open to anything.
- go to the classes do the work and do extra work to help learn the way you want to learn
- Please just communicate with the teacher, tell her you are struggling/your learning style doesn't match her teaching style
- I'm also sorry your feeling that way but AN isn't the place to be saying stuff like this unless you are asking for help on who to reach out to, such as the resources below
(its the same as the issue atm of people not knowing the line between dark humour and offensive/triggering content)
eHeadspace
Beyond Blue Chat
Psychology Services
and if you arent being genuine then consider a better choice of words to convey how you are feeling

I understand its really difficult to deal with a 'bad' teacher but you should try and take on board suggestions such as communicating with your teacher :)
Thanks for the suggestions, now first things first I always do the work for English because its compulsory and has to be in the top 4 unfortunately. Maybe going to another teacher should work out well, I personally have never tired that (first time I seen such good advice). My bad for using those words sorry, I will change them.

Since I don't want to start the same new thread again, I am gonna give a quick update. So this term sucks and my English teacher is still very bad. So far I have missed multiple lessons online and don't feel like attending those lessons at all, I really dislike my teacher. Worst teacher I ever had, anyways you guys got any free English tips for me? That does not include chatting with my teacher and telling her she should change or complaining to her. Pls reply I really can't take any more of her lame classes.

1. Don't wag - this will only put you behind the pack and it'll be much more difficult for you to catch up and improve your skills.
2. Talk to your teacher - or if you aren't comfortable talking to her maybe try talking with another English teacher and discuss with them your concerns.
3. Try as much as you can to reset your mindset that this teacher is 'bad'. Go in open-minded - it WILL help . (telling u this from experience)
4. Your teachers are there to help you. They want you to learn and progress, if you go asking for extra help before/during/after class most teachers will gladly aid you in your learning.

5. Sorry for that 'wow' comment earlier.  That was pretty rude and petty of me. Sorry.

My advice:
The Golden Rule for English is to be pumping out at least 1 essay (whether that be an argument analysis, text response, or comparative) and handing it into your teacher to get feedback and advice.

All the best.

So far I have missed multiple lessons online and don't feel like attending those lessons at all, I really dislike my teacher and right now I am considering jumping off a bridge just to avoid her classes. Worst teacher I ever had, anyways you guys got any free English tips for me? That does not include chatting with my teacher and telling her she should change or complaining to her. Hi there, I can understand you may feel frustrated. However, continuously complaining about your teacher is not likely to help you in the long term, and I encourage you to take an active approach to your learning if you feel that even after talking to your teacher, they still are unable to cater to your learning as a student. It seems that you aren't liking English at all and that you are unwilling to put in any effort into the subject, let alone attending classes. Look into the nuances of the subject and next time you go to class, do so with a more open mind and you will find that you will learn so much more. Constantly working on the subject and investing your interest and effort will really enable you to grow as a student. Perhaps instead of constantly rejecting your teacher's classes as 'lame', adopting more of a growth mindset may help. Seek assistance from your teacher if you are ever stuck or in need - I am sure they will be more than happy to help you. It is unfortunate that your teacher's style of teaching or advice is not helping you, or you are not enjoying classes - I felt the exact same way during my first few English classes this year. Instead of quickly dismissing my teacher, I went to every class with an open mind and I felt that I extracted so much more skills and knowledge from class, despite not agreeing with some of the things she said and her way of marking. It is okay to disagree with your teacher - but I constantly sought for help to better my writing and I felt that I gained so much from asking my teacher those questions, and I recommend you try this too. I put lots of effort into the subject and I found that I improved so much. Your teacher is there to help you, so I recommend you seek help where required. Deeming your teacher as you have won't help you progress much in the subject at all, because it seems you are distancing yourself from the subject itself.

Key advice = open your mind! You will learn so much more :)

Yeah, they do but that's generally cause they have to mark like ~25 essays per every class they teach and crossmark with other english teachers as well. Quite a lengthy process I'd say.

@Stormbreaker-X Ionic Doc is right as they have to cross mark
Its a lengthy process and its dependant on how many English classes are in your year level, but ultimately it's for your benefit. If there are 3 classes, your teacher marks all her classes essays and the other teachers mark their essays and then they mark each other to ensure one teacher isn't marking to easy and it disadvantages a certain class. So in this situation, each essay gets marked 3 times and then the mark you get is the averaged score from all 3 teachers which could take quite a while because if the cohort is 100 students each teacher marks all 100 essays. Hopefully this made sense :)
