Structure for text response and comparative: what is authorial intent?

My comparative sac is in 6 weeks and it’s the last one and I wanna ace it! The trouble is with rear window I had good ideas but messed up structure and misunderstood the difference between authorial intent and the why. So can someone explain the what why and intent. How do you structure paragraphs in text response and comparative??
