I tried to read the chem textbook today in my bed since it was too hot to do anything else and I ended up falling asleep within 10 minutes not even.

I study in the lounge room with my ipod and the TV blaring. Its so hard to start in that environment but when the work becomes your full focus its amazing how you just ignore all the distractions.

I study everywhere in my house.

My house is all open living, so even though I'm in the study I can still hear the episode of SpongeBob Squarepants my sister is watching in the lounge atm.

Also, when I'm very busy with study (e.g. close to exams) I tend to take over the whole house... I might have accounting sprawled all over the kitchen table, economics piled onto the desk in the study and Japanese on the coffee table in the lounge. My Dad knows how important my study is to me, so he usually just puts up with it.

I study in bed occasionally as well, and on nice days I study on the veranda.
I find changing rooms to be helpful... my study can actually get a bit stagnant if I keep trying to study in the same room all the time.

I sometimes study on my bed but i do think it's not the best way. i have trouble sleeping when i do homework on the bed. Desks are much better as your used to that environment at school. I prefer it & i get more done that way.

My desk, which has ALL my stuff, is in a different room to my bedroom, so I never study on my bed.
I'd like to keep it that way.

I study in my bedroom and I think that during last year's exam period, it probably did affect my sleep patterns. During the year I don't think it matters THAT much, provided you're not doing too much work, but during the exam period you should probably try to find somewhere else. I tried stopping my study about an hour before I went to bed but I still had issues with sleep patterns.
