There is probably going to be a question requiring us to describe the trend in something over 2008 with our own knowledge eg. interest rates. any guesses? cpi inflation? real gdp economic growth? unemployment? balance of payments?  net foreign debt?

i hate external stability. seems like the least important part of eco to me (except $A and Terms of trade)... NFD and CAD to me seem like things no one cares about.
but i have a feeling for some reason they are gonna focus on it this year :(

I don't get external stability either. I don't think there is any 'favourable' balance of imports and exports. The market equilibrium determines it best.
