If a question has a show that in it is it sufficient to show either LHS=RHS OR RHS=LHS?

Like show that

So instead of shoing LHS = RHS, I show RHS = LHS:

But this is too easy?? :)

Wow, that question is easy. From what I understand there is no problem showing RHS=LHS. Haha, you should probably show one more step, well at least I would in an exam...

Thats how show that questions work... manipulate one side to get the other or plugging and chugging.
like:
Show that is a solution of
You would simply show that
and so

Nothing else I can think of doing...

In general it's easier to take the side with more terms and try and express it as a single term, rather than splitting one up..

If a question says: "Prove 1= some big expression" would you take the one?...

mmm see I did this creatively adding zero trick, but i thought it was "cheating" in a way to make the jump to just say 1/2 of 2x+2. Silly me. I thought that you had to individually get to that point... some..how....  :-\

It's best to just look at the marks, if it requires 2+ marks it's best to do m@tty's otherwise your way is fine.
