Derivative of Unknown variable=0?

When I tried to find I got

But the answers don't have does it mean any variable that isn't x disappears like constants?

Well you are differentiating with respect to so any constant that doesn't have the variable x has a derivative of 0 yes.

Think about it, can be rewritten as try differentiating that and you get a big fat zero.
