First off the textbook that was required (Living Lingo/ Heinemann Eng. Lang 3+4) is really plain and it puts me off from working hard :/. Also there are heaps of irrelevant information, case studies etc. that after learning you realise that it is not important for SACs or even exams. I think this is because English Language is a fairly new subject offered in VCE so they can't really give us all of what is needed in preparation for the exam.
Overall, I don't regret doing English Language because English is not really something I enjoy doing and EL does not require AS much in depth understanding and it is more memory based (learning metalanguage and its features and current examples is basically all you will need)
But as long as I do practice essays for the end of the year I think I can get a decent SS (it scaled up by 2 last year)
