In my personal opinion (this may have no substance at all)... I generally thought you would need an A+ in the end-of-year exam to get 40+... if you got A in the mid-year. In terms of the exam... you would probably need to get upwards of 77/90 to guarantee a SS of 40+ (an A+ in other terms). I'm pretty much in the same boat as you in terms of grades... though I'm aiming for A+ in the Unit 4 exam.

Getting 40+ is the top 8% of the state... I don't know if you could get 40+ with those grades. :S Then again, I may be wrong.

I asked darkphoenix, what grades he got last year in Accounting (2009), he got:

Mid Year: A (mid-high, pretty sure it was high though)
SACs: A+ (mid-high as well, not sure though since my average was like 87%?)
End of year: A+ (mid-high, pretty sure this was high too, because its pretty hard to get 40 with an A)

He ended up getting 40 raw for Accounting. This was just an example of what you may need to get if you want 40+!

Good Luck!

My brother got A+, A+ and A+, and he got 40.  So i guess it depends how high/low the grade is.

what would guarantee me a 40 if i got a low A+(80/90).

It depends on how you went in the mid-year and also your SACs. just to be sure of getting 40+, I'd say aiming for around 84~85/90 (mid-high A+) would guarantee 40 (on the assumption that you got no less than an A in the mid-year and in your SACs).

I'd say getting 40, going off last year's results would be harder. darkphoenix got A, A+, A+ and that got him 40. I think, you'd be looking to get 2 A+'s in any of the 3 categories (mid-year, SACs, end-of-year) to get 40 or higher. In the end, as it has been already said, it really depends on the level of your grade.

All I can safely say is that getting A+, A+, A+ would at least get you 40, no matter if it was high or low...

46 is the highest possible you can get, and this is assuming you and everyone ranked above you in your cohort gets 100% on the exam, along with yourself.

WOAH! LOL. There goes my theory... I think the requirements change year by year. Some years it's harder to get 45+ than other years. Just give the exam your best shot and see what happens at the end of it all.

A+ is top 10% of state, SS of 38 is top 10% of the state, tripple low A+ can get you 38 :X

I'd tend to agree with that. A SS of 40+ would put you in the top 8% of the state.
