So you're allowed to number to show your points? But I think for a compare and contrast question the points you make must be written coherently i.e. in paragraph form

Yeah I only number for when they ask for like 2 skills or something, but still write in full sentences. Or with kotter- I number the steps

Charities assist marginalised groups in society in the form of goods and services or finances. Foundations on the other hand exist to further a particular cause. They are involved in promotion, research and education of that particular cause.

Good one, wouldn't have distinguished from the two but that looks correct. (Eg. the breast cancer foundation uses their funds into scientific research, whereas the Ronald McDonald house charity provides accommodation and facilities (service)

Would probably be at most a 2 mark question, and I think what sajib_mostofa said is sufficient enough (and then providing an example like mine if you have time). But I seriously doubt they would question this concept for 2 marks, what a waste of marks :O
