Hey guys, I did Lit as my only English subject this year, and I'm swapping over to English for next year. I realise that I'll have to approach essay writing quite differently to Lit essays. Have you got any advice/crash course on the structure of essays for English SACs/exams, or any other advice that you can give me?
Cheers.
hi funkyducky!
i did both literature and english as well - literature actually comes in quite handy for language analysis in english. In literature you go into so much detail analysing novels so when you come to articles in english, it's really quite simple with your additional skills

you're pretty much one step ahead of everyone else.
also, english isn't as difficult as literature when it comes to how to approach texts and writing. As you would know with literature, you pretty much know the books back to front with all the meanings, ideas and symbols whereas english only slightly goes into that type of detail. I think you should be fine
