Primary 4 must need Chemistry?

Just wondering if you have to include chemistry in your primary four if you want to do medicine.
Also, must it count for something in your atar for medicine (even if its not your top 6)?

I dont think it has to be in your top 6. As long as you get the minimum study score (usually 20~30 depending on the course) you should be okay.

For Medicine at Monash (Undergraduate Degree), you must achieve:

Prerequisites: Units 3 and 4–a study score of at least 35 in English (ESL) or 30 in any other English and a study score of at least 30 in chemistry.

I don't think it has to be in your top 4 or top 6, because if you happened to get 50 in every subject and 40 in Chem as a 7th subject, there is no way they are not going to accept you as you still got the required study score
