Based on the KWL program when I graduated plus what I've heard this year. I'll check the site and see if there's anything there I guess (91 will get you into science no worries, so there's a bright side)

Ummm I get in on 90 as a KLD, I'll try and find the info somewhere, but I think it may be KLD + Underrep = 90

That says no, you need to be underrepresented as well.

oh yes our school is under represented :) sorry i forgot to mention that

say hypothetically it doesn't work, which is the better plan B:
biomedicine at latrobe for 3 years
bachelor of science at melbourne for 1 semester before attempting a transfer

They've got this:
http://futurestudents.unimelb.edu.au/atar

If you type in 90, you are guaranteed a CSP place in Biomed if you are KLD + Underrep

Conditions for being eligible to receive a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP) in a new generation degree

The University of Melbourne can guarantee you a CSP1 provided that you:

    * apply for a new generation degree2 through the Victorian Tertiary Admissions Centre (VTAC) and are eligible to receive an offer for the selected course through the VTAC selection system;
    * meet the entry requirements for the course (i.e. prerequisites and course requirements); and
    * achieve an ATAR greater than or equal to:
          o 95; or
o 90 if you have undertaken Year 12 at a Victorian school defined by the University of Melbourne as underrepresented in the tertiary sector and at the University of Melbourne for 2011 entry. Please see a list of under-represented schools on the Access Melbourne program website. Please note that this list is updated in August each year.

Yes, just checked on their website and you are guaranteed if your school is underrepresented and a part of KWL program. There is also a case study on the issue
Example 1: Young Scholar who attends under-represented school

Greg attends a school that is on the University's under-represented school list. As such, to take advantage of this policy Greg needs to achieve an ATAR greater than or equal to 90 and meet all of the prerequisites for the New Generation course he wishes to study (as outlined at Course Search).

He selects Commerce as his first University of Melbourne preference on VTAC. Greg achieves an ATAR of 93.50 and meets all of the prerequisites for the course.

Because he is a Kwong Lee Dow Young Scholar, Greg would know at the time that ATARs are released (mid December) that his place in the Commerce course is secure, regardless of what the Clearly-In Rank ends up being. Greg would receive a formal letter of offer into the course in Round 1 of University offers (January).

In mid-late February, Greg would receive an official invite to participate in the Kwong Lee Dow First Year Program. Greg begins studies as a University student in March.

... However it states that there is a quota for   biomedicine

2010 - Atar: high enough to get in
2011 - Biomedicine
2013 - :/  something
