Confused.

I'm starting Biomed this year.
I've enrolled in Experimental Design and Data Analysis for semester 1, and yet when I log in to the LMS, it tells me that I have enrolled in Calc 2 for semester 1.
On the portal home page, Experimental Design and Data Analysis is not hyperlinked. My timetable is still the same, though.

Does anyone know why? I am supposed to do calc 2 in first semester?

You are actually supposed to do Accelerated Maths I and II fady.

How can I do both?
Besides, they did not come up when I tried to enrol in them.

According to the aad brochure you have to do accelerated mathematics. Dunno how flexible they are with it though. I tried to see if I could do calc 1 instead of calc 2 and they wouldn't let me. Apparently they check your VCE results and make you change if you enroll in the subject you're not supposed to.
Should probably just give em a call and check.

Edit: Oh, and if they let you do calc 2, you're supposed to do experimental design and analysis in first semester, then calc 2 in second semester. Dunno why you're enrolled in calc 2 in first semester. You can withdraw from subjects through the portal though.

I don't get it. Why is everybody wanting to completely waste their subjects on basic maths?

I just don't really like maths. But you've got a point I guess, if I've done it before I'll probably find it even more boring, and hence find it harder to study..

I'm confused because I am enrolled in different subjects in different places (on the homepage, in experimental design but on the LMS, in calc 2). But I'll give them a call tomorrow.

I thought that I had to do Accelerated (and actually wanted to), but I see no way in which I can follow the guidelines and do both Accelerated subjects (as I have to do experimental design). And according to the link, only people taking the Bioengineering pathway do Accelerated. I couldn't enrol in Accelerated, as only the basic maths unit, calc 1 and calc 2 were listed.

Hey I just checked my LMS, and I have the same problem (inc lack of hyperlink in portal), but on my timetable and enrollment screen it says I'm doing ED&DA in semester 1. Guess I'll also be calling them tomorrow..

Oh sweet man! I'm in accelerated maths too. Hope I can see you there!

Just shout for a guy named Yuan and you'll find me somewhere.
