Ehhh... I think I'm in a similar boat to tarek; I did Lit 3/4 in 2010 and only got a 38. I feel that i could have gotten slightly higher if I had just put in a tad bit more effort in the exams (I felt burnt out for about a term beforehand and couldn't find the motivation).
Since this is my English component (not doing any other English this year), should I repeat the subject, in which case i will have to drop another from my list? Or should i focus on my remaining subjects (Maths and Sciences are my strengths) and hopefully try get 50 in MM? ATAR aim: 98+
(P.S. Tarek, sorry if I should be asking this in another thread! Should I? It just seems like we're in a similar situation...)
How good are you at Jap?
Woah, I forgot about this thread. Well, I've decided: I'm sticking with the Lit score I got (Thinking about it, I think it's pretty good; I don't think I'd have the motivation to do another year of Lit). So i'm doing two maths, two sciences and one language this year - no English, YEAH!
In terms of Japanese, i did think about dropping it a few weeks ago, but then i realised that i should stick through with it. Although i dread the oral exam, and my Jap skill is only meh-meh, i thought to myself:
- If i drop Jap, what else should i pick up? I definitely will not pick up English or Lit (the english teachers at my school suck)
- I'm dropping Jap only because i'm scared of my performance. But in life, i've got to face things i don't like; why not start practising now?
- I feel like i have an obligation to go through this with my friends in the class - with only 8 people in the class, it's a nice environment.
So yeah. I'm not repeating Lit.
Thanks for the support!
